The Experiential Learning Centre for Excellence in Teaching and Learning (EL CETL) is one of 74 nationwide ‘Centres for Excellence’, established in 2005 using HEFCE funding. The EL CETL focuses on fieldwork, laboratory work and work-based learning as examples of active, experiential learning, and arises from expertise in these approaches in biology, geography, geology, earth and environmental science at the University of Plymouth. This community has been designed to house outputs from the EL CETL project 2005-2010, with an aim where used, to develop further excellence in these approaches and to disseminate this work and existing good practice.
